1. Hamarikyu Garden

It is a strolling landscape garden that features paths around ponds. A peony garden, plum tree grove and cosmos fields have flowers for every season.

Walking slowly in the quiet garden while seeing various flowers and plants is very refreshing. After strolling for a while, it is a good idea to rest at the tea house that offers green tea and Japanese sweets in a tea-ceremony style.

2. Sumida River Cruise

From Hamarikyu garden to Asakusa, we cruise along the Sumida river. The Cruise is popular for those who wish to breathe in the fresh air while riding around the city by a large boat. You can relax and enjoy beautiful scenery including 12 bridges, the Tokyo Sky-Tree, water front buildings, and traditional neighborhoods of old Tokyo. It takes about one hour to Asakusa via Hinode pier.

3. Sensoji temple in Asakusa

Asakusa's Sensoji temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Its “Kaminari-mon Gate” is very famous. A huge red lantern is hung in the center of the gate. Two fearsome guardian gods of thunder and wind are installed at the gate to ward off evil spirits. You can see beautiful temple structures such as the Main hall, a five-storied pagoda. Many people are always waiting to pray something at the Main hall.

4. Nakamise shopping arcade in Asakusa

The approach to Asakusa's Sensoji temple is called Nakamise shopping arcade. It is the ideal place to see local snacks and souvenirs, such as folding fans, inexpensive kimonos, traditional toys, paper umbrellas, figures of beckoning cats, and more.

There are many kinds of restaurants including Japanese food and western food. You can rest and have lunch there.
